# Sabine Fürst – Safety Fürst

> Sabine Fürst helps organisations learn from everyday work – human factors, Safety-II, patient and staff safety.

I’m Sabine Fürst. I’m curious about how work really gets done.

As a Human Factors & System Safety specialist, I help organisations learn from everyday work – from what goes well as much as from what goes wrong.

Without judgement or blame, and with plenty of curiosity.

## My approach

**The plan says one thing. Everyday work often does another – and almost always for good reason.**

The gap between work-as-imagined and work-as-done holds what staff achieve and what organisations can learn.

With the Safety-II approach, we navigate the complexity of your reality together.

## My path

Two safety-critical worlds taught me:

safety emerges in everyday work and in what happens between people, technology and organisation.

- **Flight attendant:** In the cabin, I experienced that safety is the achievement of a whole system, every day.
- **Midwife:** In the complexity of healthcare, I learned what holds teams together under pressure and what pulls them apart.
- **MSc, Human Factors and System Safety:** At Lund University, I found the theory and language for what I had experienced in practice.
- **Safety Fürst:** Today I bring both together: in consulting, training, teaching and research, where safety and organisational development intertwine.

## What I offer

**Speaker, workshops, projects**

### Talks & workshops

Looking for an interactive keynote or a workshop that truly makes a difference? I bring human factors and patient safety to where they matter: your everyday work. Lively, practical and with room for your own experiences.
